Stinging nettle (Urtica dioica) is found in waste places, beside hedges and gardens. I grows to a height of about 3 ft. The stems and leaves are covered with tiny hairs that sting and can cause a skin reaction which though its uncomfortable is harmless.

Stinging nettle can be used as a tea, in  salads as an extra green leafy vegetable or steamed like spinach, or added to your favorite smoothie (if it's in powdered form).
